What we do · Impact-first
Two businesses, one supply chain: a clean-label produce brand and an AI procurement platform for crops and commodities.
No preservatives, no additives, no added sugar in most.
Low-heat solar drying keeps nutrients and real taste.
Sourced from smallholder and women-led farmer groups.
Bulk ingredients and private label for food businesses.
Every batch traced from farm and dryer to shelf.
Engine 1 · InstaFarm Foods
Solar-dried fruits and vegetables, freeze-dried fruit, powders, oils and snacks, sold to consumers and supplied in bulk to food brands.
Engine 2 · InstaFarm Trade
A B2B SaaS marketplace where buyers find the right farmers, forecast demand and contract securely, while farmers sell direct, before produce spoils.
01 · The problem
At harvest, smallholder farmers often have more produce than the market can absorb. Without storage or processing, surplus spoils within days or is sold at distress prices. Conventional drying burns fossil fuel, and buyers rarely know where their food really comes from.
Post-harvest losses hit smallholder farmers hardest, wasting food, water and months of labour.
Distress sales and long chains of middlemen take most of the value of every harvest.
Buyers cannot verify origin, quality or how their food was processed.
02 · The solution: solar dryers
Our solar dryers use free, clean energy to gently remove moisture from fresh produce, right at the farm gate. Surplus that would have rotted becomes clean-label food with a long shelf life.
A covered drying chamber traps solar heat. No grid power, no diesel.
Gentle airflow dries produce evenly on clean trays, shielded from dust and insects.
Low-temperature drying preserves nutrients, colour and real fruit taste.
Processed and packed where it is grown, so value stays in the village.
Solar dryer programme
InstaFarm installs solar dryers with farmer groups and women's collectives, trains them to dry, grade and pack, then buys the output at fair prices.
Surplus harvest becomes shelf-stable stock instead of spoilage.
Dried produce sells for more, on the farmer's timeline, not the market's.
Zero fuel costs and a lower carbon footprint from farm to shelf.
Each dryer is logged, so every pack can be traced back to it.
02 · Inside the solar dryer
A simple, rugged design that any farmer group can run. The sun provides the heat, and natural airflow does the rest.
Moist air out
Fresh air in
A dark plate under glass turns sunlight into heat.
Heated air moves up the collector into the chamber.
Warm air rises through the trays, gently drying the produce.
Moist air leaves through the vent, pulling in fresh air.
From harvest to pack
We help farmer groups turn surplus produce into shelf-stable, high-value products using solar drying.
Ripe produce collected from partner farms.
Cleaned and graded for quality by hand.
Cut evenly so every piece dries at the same rate.
Spread in a single layer on food-grade trays.
Low, steady heat for 12–30 hours, by produce.
Checked for moisture, packed and batch-coded.

02 · Before & after
Five days after harvest, surplus produce left in the open is spoiling. The same harvest in a solar dryer becomes clean-label food, ready to sell. Drag to compare.
Day 5Spoiled surplus. Lost income.
Day 5Shelf-stable, clean-label, ready to sell.
Without storage or processing, ripe fruit is lost soon after harvest.
Low moisture keeps it safe, with no preservatives added.
Produce that would be thrown away is sold at a fair price.
03 · The people
Many of the hands that grow, dry and pack our produce belong to women. We work with women-led groups so that the skills, the income and the decisions stay with them.
Training in solar drying, grading, packaging and digital selling tools.
Direct market access means farmers keep more of every sale.
Processing at source creates local jobs in rural communities.
We used to throw away so much. They taught me how to dry, package, and even use digital tools. I feel more in control of my farm and my future.

04 · The process & traceability
Produce is dried, graded and packed where it is grown. Every batch carries a record of the farm and dryer it came from, so anyone can check the journey. Try it with the code on a pack.
Surplus harvest bought direct from farmer groups.
Low-heat drying keeps nutrients, colour and flavour.
Sustainable, zero-waste packaging. Value stays local.
Verified traceability from farm to buyer or shelf.

05 · How impact scales
Every dryer we install creates supply. Every sale creates data. Every data point makes the platform smarter and brings in more buyers.
Bulk solar-dried produce and powders for food manufacturers, HoReCa and brands.
Ingredients at scale
D2C, retail, gifting hampers and export to health-conscious markets.
From farms to shelves
Recurring platform revenue from buyer subscriptions and marketplace transactions.
Smarter markets
Dryer deployments co-funded with CSR, development and climate partners.
More dryers, bigger impactThe InstaFarm flywheel
More farmers onboarded lead to more dryers, more supply, more sales and better data, making the platform smarter and creating even greater opportunities.

Shelf life depends on the product and its pack. Solar-dried fruit and vegetables, dried to a safe low moisture level and sealed in airtight packs, typically keep for 6 to 12 months unopened. Powders and spice blends usually last up to 12 months, while candied fruit and products with natural oils are best within 6 to 9 months. Every pack carries its own best-before date. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and reseal after opening.
Yes. We ship across India and export to the UK, Germany, France and the UAE. Orders within India usually arrive in 3 to 7 working days, and international orders in 7 to 14 working days, depending on destination and customs. For bulk and B2B shipments, timelines are confirmed with each order.
